Last day in the MTC!

Hey noobs. I realize it's Monday. But I leave tomorrow so they gave us a p-day today. But we still have class. Weird right? But other than class the whole day is p-day. So we get to just chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll for the last time for a couple years today. It's not really chill though. We actually have quite a bit to do.

This week has been awesome. Last Tuesday we had a devotional after I emailed. So they had told us that it would be a big one and that it was being broadcast to all the MTC's around the world. So we knew something big was going on. Well, in walks Dallin H. Oaks. Now I've seen apostles before, I've talked with Elder Bednar in the Joseph Smith Building. I've sang for Elder Perry and Elder Hales at the Governor's mansion, but the feeling I got when Elder Oaks came in and we all stood up was incredible. We could all feel his spirit just emanating through the whole building. It was awesome.

So on Thursday, we had in-field orientation. It's where they go over a lot about being a missionary. No one talks about it a lot. So I had no idea what it would be. It was incredible. You could just feel the spirit in the rooms the whole time. And I LOVE south Americans. They really are the best. I was with two elders the whole time. One from Germany/England. and he was a genius. And a way nice guy. And the other from Colombia! He was honestly one of the nicest people I have ever met. I told him his English was really good. And He was so happy. Like just beaming. Ah. What a kid. I love South Americans.

So during in-field they challenged us to talk to people. There are people here that have life stories that you can just talk to. One is named George. He only has one leg and the other is a prosthetic. He was amputated just above the knee. in my whole time here, I have never seen him smile. Ever. So I was really nervous when we want to talk to him. But we just sat and talked and I told him about Brandon and Josh Poulson. He got up and showed us what he had been working on walking wise and he could do it! It was so cool. We talked about how much of a miracle and blessing he is and how God has blessed him. I saw him smile for the first time. He smiled for a while. We saw him later and I said hi and talked with him for a little and when he saw me he smiled! I love the gospel.

Thursday we also got our reassignments. Yep cool. you've heard about that. And it was Syd's birthday.

Friday, I finished the Book Of Mormon for the first time here. It felt so good.

I am so excited to get in the field! Thanks for all your letters this week! I got a lot! I love you all!

Eu sei que esta igreja e verdadeira!

Love, Elder Scott Jackson Taylor
