Well kids, I don't have a whole lot of time because we got a call yesterday telling us that we have Leadership Counsel in Ribeirao Preto tomorrow!! Yep, the Assistants forgot to advise us. So, we are hurrying and emailing and we will be catching a bus to Ribeirao right after. haha. but, it's all good. I like Ribeirao.
AND THE BAPTISMS!!! Ana Maria Lima and Anne Karollyne da Silva were baptized on Saturday!!! and confirmed yesterday! I have pictures, but the card hookup isn't working right now so I'll have to see if I can maybe send them later or something. But the baptism went really well. Elder Jake baptized Ana and I baptized Anne. This week has been really cool. We have been calling every day, multiple times a day to make sure Ana didn't smoke and if she felt the need, we would help her out. Well, on Friday she had her interview. We were headed toward the Church to do some contacts and we were passing a street by their house. We had the feeling to call her and she was about to smoke. We literally ran over to her house and just talked to her and shared scriptures with her. We ended up being over there for 2 hours just talking to her and calming her down, and when we left, she said she didn't even want to smoke any more. And she didn't! They both passed the interview and the baptism went really well! We visited yesterday and challenged them both to read the Book of Mormon all the way through from the beginning...and they were already doing it! So that was cool. They're solid.
There was also a stake activity talent show Saturday night and Anne participated. It was cool. She's already participating in everything with Young Women's and she's doing really well. I also got to see all my peeps from Americo and found out that a few of them are going to the U.S. at the end of this year. they're all going to study English for 4 months and then try to get in to LDSBC. So that's cool. It'll be a party.
